Officers have cordoned off lower Castle Street.
Castle Street has been cordoned off by police due to an incident they are investigating.
This means the shops from Hinckley and Rugby Building Society down to the Market Place are currently shut.
It is unknown when the street will re-open.
The back entrance to the Britannia Centre is open however you cannot access Castle Street from there.
Fosse 107 has contacted Leicestershire Police for a comment.
