Parts of the M6 were closed, but they have now reopened.
Police were called to the M6 early this morning (24/11) after reports of a collision.
They went to the M6 between junctions 2 and 3 shortly before 12.30 am, and fire crews and an ambulance also attended.
They found a car – a Range Rover Sport - smoking and on its side.
A child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
No arrests have been made.
