It will continue to operate as a Covid-19 vaccination centre until the end of the year.

The vaccine programme, which has been extended until the 31st December 2021, will help fulfil the government objective to provide the Covid vaccine booster programme ahead of the winter.

The programme of entertainment events scheduled for the Civic Hall will continue to be suspended for the time being but shows will be making a return in early 2022.

Cllr Julian Gutteridge, portfolio holder for Health and Environment at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said: "We continue to prioritise the safety of our residents and support the government objective to roll out the Covid-19 vaccination and the winer booster programme."

NHS England and vaccination service providers Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust have been working with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to ensure vaccinations for the local population, as part of the national vaccination programme.

Over 90,000 Nuneaton and Bedworth residents have now received at least one vaccination and the Civic Hall site has provided the highest number of vaccinations.

In the new year the Civic Hall will be back open for shows and entertainment.

Cllr Gutteridge, said: "The great news is that we are working towards reopening the Civiv Hall as an entertainment venue in early 2022! There are loads of great acts in the diary already, so visit the website and take a look!."
