Access to the development will be via a new traffic island.
The planning committee at Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council have approved an outline planning application for up to 415 homes in Hinckley.
The application is for the homes to be built on the A47 Normandy Way, near the Ashby Road junction.
It is proposed that the site would be accessed through a 3-arm roundabout on the Normandy Way.
