It's due to close in the middle of next year.
Coventry Airport will close next year.
A spokesperson from the UK Civil Aviation Authority has said: “Coventry Aerodrome has given formal notice to us of its plan to close the airport permanently with effect from 11 June 2026.”
Fosse 107 has contacted the site owner.
The Air Ambulance operates out of the airport however, they have said the closure won't impact their work.
A spokesperson from The Air Ambulance Service said: "Everyone can be reassured that the planned closure of Coventry Airport’s runway operations in June 2026 will not impact the vital work of The Air Ambulance Service charity in the area. We have been working closely with Coventry Airport owners and the Civil Aviation Authority to ensure our missions can continue to fly from Coventry Airport after other operations cease."
