Daryl Lloyd was arrested during a raid at a house in Croft Pool, Bedworth.

Lloyd, aged 28 of Broad Street, Coventry, appeared in court in connection with the incident that took place in Bedworth last month.

The court heard that on 13 July 2021 officers from Nuneaton Proactive CID conducted a warrant at a property in Croft Pool. Lloyd was found within the premises along with approximately 30g of cocaine and a large quantity of cash.

Cannabis was also discovered following a search of a nearby vehicle that had recently been used by Lloyd, who was found to be a disqualified driver.

In court Lloyd pleaded guilty to 4 counts: possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – cocaine, possession of a controlled drug of Class B - cannabis/cannabis resin, driving whilst disqualified and use a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.

He was sentenced to 4 years and 10 months in prison and order to give back £1,272 in cash.

PC Dan Lydster, Nuneaton Proactive CID, said “We welcome the custodial sentence from the court. Whilst serving his time in prison, Lloyd will have plenty of opportunity to reflect on the immorality and consequences of his actions.

“We hope that this sends a message to others who are involved in the illegal drugs trade that they will be targeted and justice will be served.

“We would appeal to anyone who has information or suspicions about drug dealing or cultivation in Warwickshire to share this with us. You can report via the Warwickshire website or by calling 101.”
