Three fire engines were sent to Tarboush Middle Eastern Café in Market Street.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said two appliances from Loughborough and one from Castle Donington attended.
They got the first call at 4.06pm on Tuesday 31st March.
They found the fire on the ground floor going into ceiling.
They believe it was started in a barbecue oven.
