Residents and businesses are both invited to have their say.
The Borough Council will be consulting on a document - known as ‘The Good Design Supplementary Planning Document’ (SPD) - for four weeks starting on the 15 April 2019.
Once agreed, the document will guide developers, agents and members of the public with the design of their developments and extensions. It will set out the general principles accepted by the council for new residential, existing residential, barn conversions, commercial and shop front developments.
The council will publish the consultation version of The Good Design (SPD) and details of how to comment on its website on 15 April and anyone who wishes to take part has until 12 May 2019 to do so.
Following the consultation, comments will be analysed and necessary changes will be incorporated into the final document for adoption by the council, anticipated to be later this year.
To take part, go to hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk and select ‘have your say’ from 15 April onwards.
