Ahead of leaving for Canada, Steve was one of around 10 team members chosen to appear on BBC One’s The One Show, one of the final media appearances before the games begin.

Speaking on the Help For Heroes website, Steve said: "I am now fitter and stronger than I have been in a very long time and knowing that I am 1 of the 90 on the plane to Canada representing the UK Armed Forces has given me back the fight and motivation that I’d lost for so long."
