"The car was travelling from Hinckley towards Lutterworth"
Detectives are investigating a serious collision on the A5 near Wigston Parva – and are appealing for anyone with footage or information to come forward.
Police were called to the scene, between the B4114 and High Cross, just after 11.15 am on Saturday 24 August.
A blue Volkswagen Golf GTI had left the carriageway and collided with a tree.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital and is continuing to receive treatment for serious injuries.
Detective Sergeant Ed Des-Chanelle, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Our investigation to establish how the car came to left the road is continuing and I’m appealing for anyone who can help to get in touch.
“The car was travelling from Hinckley towards Lutterworth and I’m keen to speak to any motorists with dashcams in their vehicle or who saw the collision happen. I’d also like to speak to anyone who saw the blue Golf prior to it occurring.”
