The Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has been voted out of his role.
At an Extraordinary Council meeting on Wednesday 21st January, councillors considered a motion of no confidence in Council Leader Cllr Chris Watkins.
The motion was carried, and Labour Cllr Chris Watkins was removed as Leader of the Council.
Cllr Steve Hey was subsequently elected Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and will assume the role with immediate effect.
The Council will continue to operate under the existing Labour administration although no party has overall control.
