A man has been charged after 28-year-old Caragh Eaton died in Barrow Upon Soar on Tuesday evening (6th September).
Police were called to Field Edge Drive in Barrow upon Soar at 4.40pm following reports that a woman had been hit by a car.
Caragh’s family have released a statement in tribute to her.
“We have been devastated by the loss of Caragh, our much-loved daughter, sister and mother.
We are struggling to come to terms with our loss and the circumstances of her death.
We would like to thank everyone for their messages of condolence. They are giving us much comfort and we feel greatly supported.
The family ask for understanding in order to deal with our grief in private at this difficult time."
Ian Curson, 42, of Fairhaven Road in Leicester, was arrested on Tuesday evening just hours after the collision.
Curson has been charged with manslaughter and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been remanded into custody.
