Police question a woman following the death on Trinity Lane on Sunday.
Leicestershire Police has launched an investigation after a man died following a house fire in Hinckley.
The police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the property on Trinity Lane at 9.15 am on Sunday 4th February.
A 30 year old man was rescued from the house but sadly died. Trinity Lane was closed in both directions while fire investigators and scenes of crime officers continue to examine the scene. It reopened again just after 9pm.
A 23 year old woman from Hinckley has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody.
Detective Superintendent Drew Elliott, who is leading the investigation said; “We are aware that Trinity Lane has been closed all day and want to thank those people who have been affected by the closure for their patience. We are determined to get to the bottom of how this man died and would appeal to anyone who might have any information or who might have seen anything suspicious on or around Trinity Lane early on Sunday morning to get in touch."
