The road has since been re-opened.
A man has died in a collision on the A447.
Police officers were called to the A447 in Stapleton at 9.30 am on Monday 22 July following a report of a collision.
Leicestershire Police, said: "The collision in Ashby Road involved a single vehicle, which left the road and struck a brick wall. The driver of the vehicle, a man, was pronounced deceased at the scene."
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
Road closures were in place on Ashby Road (A447) between Hinckley Road and Stapleton Lane but the roads have since been re-opened.
