Hawley Road in Hinckley has been closed for a number of hours after a crash involving a lorry and a pedestrian.
Police were called just before 4pm to reports of a crash on Hawley Road in Hinckley. Hawley Road was closed off and the Leicestershire Police Forensic Collision Investigation Unit were in attendance at the scene as well as the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance Service. The road was closed outside Lidl and the Hinckley Hub.

Police said a man had been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said:
"Officers were called at around 3.30pm yesterday (Fri) to Hawley Road, Hinckley, following a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry.
East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
The pedestrian, a man, was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.
Hawley Road was closed between the junctions of Station Road and Rugby Road while initial enquiries were carried out."
