Works has started to build new homes at a derelict site.
At the old council depot site off Middlefield Lane, work has begun on 54 brand new homes.
There will be one-bed flats and family homes will be offered for a mix of tenure. 28 homes will be available for affordable rent, 20 for shared ownership and six for Rent to Buy.
A phased completion will see the new homes become available from May 2020.
The development at Middlefield Lane is the next phase in working in partnership between Countryside Properties, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and NCHA.
The affordable rent homes at Middlefield Lane will be let through Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council’s choice-based-lettings scheme and the shared ownership properties will be sold via NCHA Sales.
