The incident happened at around 3:30pm last Thursday on Attleborough Road.
Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident in Nuneaton last week.
At around 3.30pm on Thursday 15 July, a man approached a child on Attleborough Road (close to the junction with Lister Street) and tried to kiss her.
The child left the scene and the incident was reported to police.
A 62-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. He has been released on police bail with conditions, while enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are investigating the incident and are asking anyone who may have witnessed it or who may have dashcam footage in this area to please make contact.
