The AA has said all lanes have been re-opened but traffic is slow in the area.
Emergency Services were called to a serious road traffic collision today on the A47 Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest East.
One fire engine from Southern Station and another from Western Station went to the scene where three vehicles had collided.
A female was trapped within a car complaining of neck pains.
The A47 Hinckley Road was closed in both directions but has since been reopened.
On the AA website, it says 'slow traffic due to earlier crash, three vehicles involved on A47 Hinckley Road both ways from Tesco to Co-op. Affecting traffic between Leicester and Hinckley. All lanes have been re-opened.'
