A planning application has been submitted for permission to build 90 new homes in the centre of Market Bosworth.
The application for outline planning permission was sent in to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council on 3rd April by Gladman Developments Limited.
The proposals include development of land off Shenton Lane in Market Bosworth near to Market Bosworth Cemetery.
The design statement submitted alongside the application states:
"The site is situated on the southern edge of Market Bosworth and measures 3.6 hectares. The site comprises two fields, one is rectangular in shape and is currently in agricultural use. The second is triangular and is currently used for allotments."

The site is about 800m from the centre of Market Bosworth town.
The application states that Shenton Lane in Market Bosworth will need to be amended to create safe access.
"Vehicular access will be provided from Shenton Lane via a priority junction. It is intended that the road will be amended in places to facilitate the new footpath. The final arrangements will be determined through the application process."
Residents can comment on the application online now. The consultation ends on 20th May 2020.
No date has yet been set for when the application will be heard by the Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council planning committee.
