Nuneaton Police have released a statement as there is a planned protest activity in Nuneaton this weekend.
Assistant Chief Constable Ben Smith, said “We're aware of a planned peaceful protest in the town on Saturday, and we understand the community may be concerned.
“We’ve been out and about this week talking with residents and businesses and we have full policing plans in place over the weekend.
“People may peacefully protest but we won’t tolerate any criminal or violent behaviour – anyone committing crime or anti-social behaviour will be dealt with swiftly and robustly.
“If anyone has any concerns, our Safer Neighbourhood Team will be out and about as usual this week. Please come and talk to them.”
