Their enquiries are continuing.

A woman and man who died following a fatal collision in Hinckley have been named.

Molly Snow, 23, was the driver of a red Ford Fiesta which was travelling westbound on the A47 Normandy Way on Friday 18th  October.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A light grey Audi S4 collided with the Ford Fiesta which was travelling in the opposite direction.

Jordan Hurst, 31, was a passenger in the Audi S4. He was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Audi, a 30-year-old man, was taken to hospital and is continuing to receive treatment.

A 25-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The Audi involved in the collision is believed to have been in convoy with another Audi, a black S3, in the minutes leading up to the collision. The Audi S3 was not involved in the collision and no-one in that car was injured.

Detective Sergeant Ed Des-Chanelle from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: "My condolences very much remain with Miss Snow and Mr Hurst’s families and loved ones at this time.

“Our investigation to establish the circumstances of what happened is continuing and I’d still like to speak to anyone who was driving on the A47 last Friday night but who has not yet spoken to police.

“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone with a dashcam in their vehicle, who saw the collision occur or saw any of the vehicles involved prior to it happening. Anything you’re able to provide could help.”
