Staff member at Loughborough University suspended over alleged 'catfishing' incident

The University said they are investigating the 'sexually-motivated incident'.

The as yet unidentified person is also a student at the University.

In a tweet, Loughborough university said a fake social media persona was involved.

They are advising any students who believe they have been a victim of catfishing or any form of sexual violence to get in touch via the University’s online incident reporting portal here: http://lboro.uk/3qJ3lUA or contact Student Services on 01509 222765. 

A university spokesperson said they would not be making any further statements at this time.
