Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council have approved the planning application.
A service station could be built in the local area after the borough council approved a planning application last night.
The service station would be on the Stretton Baskerville roundabout linking the M69 and the A5.
Access would be via the A5.
Because of the site's location Rugby Borough Council will also have their say on plans but at the moment they don't have a fixed date for the application to be decided.
Plans for the service station include over 200 car parking spots, a main Motorway Services Building with food outlets and a petrol station.
