Twycross Zoo has won a runner-up award for the ‘Planting with Purpose’ project in Butterfly Paradise.
This recognition was awarded to the Twycross Zoo team at the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums Gala Dinner.
The ‘Planting with Purpose’ project has begun to transform Butterfly Paradise, enhancing the habitat for butterflies and other species.
This initiative then helps provide food for other animals around the zoo, including tortoises and even the great apes.
