Three men have been arrested in connection with an incident in Nuneaton in which a man suffered stab wounds to his body and arm.
Police were called to a report of an altercation involving a number of people in the communal area of Coronation Court, Mount Street, Nuneaton on Saturday 11 April.
A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
He remains in a stable condition in hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
52 year old Ricky Wayne Jones, of Fife Street, Nuneaton was arrested at the scene and later charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. He appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 April where he was remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 14 May 2020.
51 year old Mark Steven Smith, of Mount Street, Nuneaton was arrested at the scene and later charged with obstructing a police officer. He will appear at Warwickshire Magistrates on 1 June 2020.
A 36-year-old man from Nuneaton was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray and later released under investigation.
Officers seized a knife from the scene.
