Three arrested over Nuneaton disorder

Three people have been arrested following violent incidents in Nuneaton culminating in a man suffering serious injuries in Croft Road.

Emergency services were called to reports of violent disorder in Croft Road at 12.36pm yesterday (Sunday 25 November).

When officers arrived they discovered a 30-year-old man with serious head and neck injuries. Officer believe a car had collided with him. He is currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Prior to this there were a number of altercations involving several people driving a number of different vehicles in Camp Hill and Stockingford in the couple of hours prior to the incident in Croft Road. Police are treating all these incidents as linked.

A 30-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A 25-year-old woman from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of assault. She has been bailed until December while enquiries continue.

A 44-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested and later cautioned for assault and criminal damage.

Detective Inspector Lisa Sears said: "Our first priority is to establish a timeline for the series of events that occurred yesterday.

"We believe it started late morning with an altercation between two motorists in Avenue Road. From here we have established there were a number of other altercations leading up to the most serious incident in Croft Road.

"We're keen to speak to anyone who witnessed any of the altercations in Camp Hill or Stockingford. We're also keen to speak to anyone who has dash cam footage from these areas between 10.30am and 1.00pm."
