Views are being sought on a draft strategy to guide economic development in Charnwood.
The borough council has produced the draft Economic Development Strategy for Charnwood and is welcoming comments.
The draft strategy sets out priorities and objectives to help create a stronger economy over the next two years.
Cllr Eric Vardy, lead member for planning, inward investment and tourism strategy, said: “This is a high-level document which will provide a path for the Council to follow and help us identify actions that we can take to support the local economy.
“This is currently a draft strategy so we would welcome any views and comments during this consultation.”
The strategy sets out four priority areas, places and infrastructure; business environment, people and innovation.
It commits to re-imagining town centres, creating a fertile business environment for growth and marketing Charnwood as a destination of choice for visitors. It also prioritises building a skilled workforce, encouraging entrepreneurship and strengthening Charnwood’s excellence in science, innovation and advanced manufacturing.
