Two criminals are behind bars after stealing jewellery from a house in Nuneaton.
Odelle Alistair Christian and Sayed Yahya Alhadad stole the items after breaking into a house in Higham Lane on 17 August 2018.
Both men were caught on CCTV and Christian, 42, of Munnings Close, Leicester, was identified and arrested in September.
Alhadad, 35, of Moorgate Street, Leicester, handed himself in to police following a media appeal by detectives from the Nuneaton Offender Management Unit (OMU).
Appearing at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday (13 February) Christian was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison after pleading guilty to burglary. He was also given an additional 18 months for breach of conditions following a previous suspended prison sentence.
Alhadad was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to burglary. He was also banned from driving for two years after being convicted of driving without insurance.
DC Sian Cook from Nuneaton OMU said: "Hopefully local people will sleep easier knowing Christian and Alhadad are behind bars. They will have plenty of time in prison to reflect on what they have done and the impact their actions had on the local community.
"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal to identify Alhadad. I have no doubt the widespread coverage of the offence led to him handing himself in."
