The victim suffered facial injuries.
A man was assaulted whilst getting off the number 20 bus in Bedworth and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Warwickshire Police have said that the incident was unprovoked.
As the victim – a man in his 30s – got off the bus with a woman on Coventry Road close to the Black Bank Pub, he was assaulted by an unknown person.
The man, who is described as white, in his 20s, of slim build and wearing a white jacket, is understood to have left in the direction of Sainsbury’s.
The victim suffered facial injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
Enquiries are currently ongoing but officers want to any witnesses, anyone who was a passenger on the bus, or who has mobile phone footage of the incident.
