Work started on Tuesday.
Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital has announced that work on a new modular ward is now underway.
Work to build the new ward is due to be completed in September 2020.
The new 30 bed ward was originally announced in March.
The Trust says it will help them to improve capacity, flow and patients experience of hospital services.
Visitors and patients can continue to park in the main car park.
Access to all buildings located after the Main Hospital Entrance will also be available for visitors including stores, Arbury Lodge and Blue Sky Centre.
