It is just a month after another of their chimpanzees passed away.
Twycross Zoo has announced the passing of Genet the chimpanzee.
The 28-year-old chimpanzee was identified as having kidney and heart abnormalities three years ago.
Twycross Zoo, said: "Genet received daily treatment for these conditions, but unfortunately over the last couple of weeks her health deteriorated. Our veterinary experts are now undertaking a full post mortem to understand more.
"Genet was born here at Twycross Zoo on 25th May 1995 and has been an important part of our chimpanzee group. She will be missed by our teams and visitors."
The passing of Genet is a month after the zoo team announced that their 'much-loved' 41-year-old chimpanzee William had died.
