Women in Charnwood can enjoy a night of fun and exercise on Friday, June 29.The Charity Girls’ Night Out is organised by Charnwood Borough Council as part of the This Girl Can campaign.
This Girl Can is a national campaign developed by Sport England which aims to celebrate active women and encourage people to take up a new sport or activity.
Chris Traill, strategic director for neighbourhoods and community wellbeing said: “This is a night out with a difference and a great opportunity to get together with your mum or your daughter, or just a group of friends and have some fun.
“It’s a great way to try a new activity, get some exercise and help raise money for charity. The proceeds from the event will go to Cancer Research UK which is a great cause.
“I hope it’s another fun night out for everyone who attends.”
The event is for women aged 16 and over and is being held at Charnwood College, Thorpe Hill, Loughborough from 6-9pm.
Tickets are £7.50 and include a T-shirt to wear on the night.
There will also be information on local sports clubs, health and wellbeing and some beauty products for you to test out and purchase. Tasty treats will also be on sale with proceeds going to charity.
