Warwickshire Police are currently conducting a 'CCTV trawl'.
This morning (Friday 20 May) just before 4:30 am a woman was sexually assaulted in an alley known locally as “Donkey Alley”.
The alley is located between Kem Street, Attleborough and Caldwell Grange Care Home on Donnithorne Avenue.
It is reported that an individual witnessed the incident and disturbed the suspect and Warwickshire Police want this person to get in contact.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30’s, with a local accent, wearing dark jeans and a dark top.
Detective Inspector Owen Fell from Nuneaton CID said: “A number of enquiries of currently ongoing, including a CCTV trawl.
“As part of the investigation, we would like to speak to the individual who is believed to have disturbed the incident, as they are being treated as a key witness.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area between 3am and 4.30am this morning – and this includes any vehicles driving on Church Street, Attleborough Road, Kem Street, Avenue Road and/or Donnithorne Avenue during this time who may have dashcam footage.
“Anyone with any information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 34 of 20 May 2022.”
