Body found in Cornwall believed to be missing Nuneaton man

He was reported missing from Nuneaton yesterday.

Officers have thanked the public who shared an appeal to help locate missing man Jack Taggart from Nuneaton.

At around 8:30 am this morning (Wednesday) officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were called to a single-vehicle collision in Halwill, Cornwall and a male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A statement from Warwickshire Police said: "Formal identification is yet to take place, however, the body is believed to be that of the 27-year-old, who was reported missing from Nuneaton yesterday (Tuesday).

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem will take place in due course.

"His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers and has asked that their privacy be respected at this time."
