The 54-year-old was staying at a hotel in Hinckley when he went missing.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the body – which was found on land near Gaulby on Tuesday (10 January) – is believed to be 54-year-old Paul Ryan.
Paul last had contact with his family on the 13th of November and was reported missing on the 20th of December.
Specially-trained officers are providing support to Mr Ryan’s family.
His death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
