The room will now be home to the College’s new competitive Esports team.
Loughborough College has unveiled a new advanced Esports suite to help students level up on their gaming and business skills.
The classroom has around 40 top-of-the-range gaming PCs, big screens and gaming equipment to support students on the new Esports BTEC Level 2 and 3 qualifications.
Danny Lee, Curriculum Manager for the Esports programme, said: “We are so excited to welcome our first-ever cohort of Esports students to our cutting-edge gaming hub. Of course, Esports isn’t just about playing video games – it is mainly about the industry that orbits gaming including business, marketing, entrepreneurship, media and broadcasting."
The room will now be the home to the Loughborough Lycans, a new competitive Esports team who will compete nationally in a range of competitions and tournaments.
