A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving above the controlled drug limit.
Police were called at 11.32pm on Sunday (11 July) to a report of a car colliding into a shop in New Road, Stoney Stanton.
The front of the Co-Op was damaged and has since been partially boarded up.
No serious injuries were reported at the scene.
A driver was reported to have left the scene. Following initial enquiries, a 27-year-old man, from Leicester, was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the controlled drug limit. He has since been released under investigation.
Enquiries are ongoing.
