It will be a place for reflection to remember those lost in the pandemic.
The official unveiling of the Hope Bell in Loughborough will take place next week.
The Hope Bell, located in Queen’s Park in Loughborough, will be a tribute to the NHS, key workers and will also be a place for reflection to remember those lost in the pandemic.
A ceremony will take place on Friday, 4 July at 10.30 am and the Hope Bell will be rung for the first time.
The ceremony is open to the public.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Council’s lead member for housing, economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “The Hope Bell will serve as a place of reflection in Charnwood for decades to come and the official unveiling will be a historic moment.
“It is important to share this with representatives from organisations across the borough who played such a key role in the community during the pandemic, as well as residents that were directly affected.”

The Hope Bell is a clock chime installation comprising four quarter chime bells and the main Hope Bell.
It is 7.5 metres high. The bells are supported by four steel pillars which symbolise people coming together to embrace in a hug.
The installation of the four pillars and the bells began in September 2024.
