There will be organisations there to offer advice on issues such as debt, housing and the dangers of using loan sharks.
An information and advice event is being held in Syston for people who have concerns about the rising cost of living.
Charnwood Borough Council, as part of its Charnwood Community Action campaign, has organised the Cost of Living and Wellbeing with support from a range of partners.
The event is being held on Tuesday 29th November at Syston Methodist Church in High Street between 3 pm and 6.30 pm.
There will be various organisations at the event to offer advice on issues such as debt, housing, the dangers of using loan sharks and scams, skills and training, employment and more.
Verity Graham, the Council’s neighbourhoods and partnerships manager, said: “We are very aware of the concerns and worries people have about the rising cost of living and that’s why we launched Charnwood Community Action to co-ordinate and signpost support for people.
“The roadshow is another way we are trying to help by bringing together organisations who can help people.
“It is open for anyone to attend and no matter what position you find yourself in, we would like people to know they are not alone. There are organisations who can help and while there is often not an instant fix, they may be able to advise you on steps you can take to improve your situation.
“Please come along to the event in Syston and if you can’t make it, visit our campaign web page which has information and links to organisations which can offer support and advice.”
Another roadshow is being planned for the Loughborough area in the New Year.
