Registration for the Nuneaton 5k Fun Run, taking place on Sunday 24 March is now open.
Starting at the Pingles Stadium athletics track, the race will take a route around the delightful setting of Riversley Park.
The race is specifically designed to be FUN! there are no time pressures, or competing against super-fit athletes, the race is designed for participants of all ages and abilities and we encourage families to attend.

The Mayor, Cllr Chris Watkins will be in attendance to start the race and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Mayor’s charity, Doorway, he said:
“I am delighted to be opening this family event, and that the proceeds are being made to my Mayoral Appeal for Doorway, which is fantastic as my appeal will come to an end in May”. The event is always a great day for the whole family and as participants of all ages and abilities can attend there is a real community feel to the race. I hope to see you and your family there!”
Pat Dickens, Fundraiser at Doorway said:
“I hope as many residents from the Borough join in as possible. It’s a great opportunity for people of all ages to have fun and get active at the same time. Good luck to everyone taking part in the 5k Fun Run and thanks to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for donating a portion of the proceeds.”
Doorway provide a range of services including advice, support and development, which are supported by other initiatives, all of which intend to tackle all aspects of social disadvantage. The aim of the organisation is to ensure young people can access good quality housing and support and equip them with the skills, attitudes and ability to move forward positively in their lives and fulfil their needs and potential.
