The fundraising appeal was shared far and wide.
Stephen Webb's fundraising page has hit its target of £150,000 after just one week.
The Head of English at Hastings High School has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and the fundraising page was set up so he can receive immunotherapy, which will give him extra time with his family.
Yesterday (19th September) Stephen had an operation to remove as much of the mass as possible.
An update on the fundraising page says that the surgery went well and he is now being closely monitored.
Hasting High School pupils and teachers gathered on the school field to spell SOS- Save Our Stephen early this week.
