Charnwood Borough Council has apologised after a number of garden waste bins went uncollected in the town.
A message on the council's website said that waste partner Serco was unable to collect bins on 49 roads on Tuesday 6th January including:

Residents are being advised to leave bins at the kerb-side and are being reassured they will be emptied as soon as possible.
An announcement on the Charnwood Borough Council website said "our bin crews will return to collect them as soon as possible, so please leave your bin out on the edge of your property. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
