Kristian Jackson, 28, of Ashby Road, Hinckley was sentenced at Leicester Crown Court on Monday 12 April.
He was also issued with a sexual harm prevention order, a restraining order and will be placed on the sex offenders register.
The attack happened on the evening of 26th October 2019, when Jackson was looking after the victim at his home.
He plied her with gin, getting her so drunk she was sick.
Jackson then drove her to her house where he raped her, fleeing the scene when she called for help.
The incident was reported to police and an investigation commenced.
Following enquiries, officers visited Jackson’s home address and he was arrested and subsequently charged.
Detective Constable Heather Cotton said: “We take reports of this nature very seriously.
“We would urge anyone with any concerns about an incident that has just happened or occurred some time ago to get in touch.
