Firefighters said approximately 20 acres of grassland and trees was on fire in Stoke Golding.
Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service crews were called to Basin Bridge Lane in Stoke Golding at 13:22pm this afternoon (Sunday 21st August).
Seven appliances were in attendance.
A spokesperson said the fire had also spread to a neighbouring field.
Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Large amount of stubble and hedgerow involved in fire, beaters and drag forks in use. Appliances relocating to other areas due to fire spread into other fields. Approximately 20 acres of grass, shrubland and trees involved in fire. 6 hose reel jets and beaters in use."
The incident remains ongoing.
