Luke Pollard is a guide for visually impaired athlete Dave Ellis who won a gold medal at the Paris Paralympics in 2024.
Luke told Fosse 107 about when he found out about his MBE.
He said: "Obviously it was a fantastic award and I was absolutely taken aback so much so I actually texted Dave and said have you had any mail today and he said yeah I've had some mail what have you had and then obviously both figured out we both had this award at the same time. "
Luke Pollard says that he is can't put into words what the award means to him.
