A community theatre group based in Barwell and Earl Shilton have been nominated for a National Diversity Award 2023.
Stageworks Performance Community Theatre are up for the Community Organisation Award for Disability.
They were nominated by Eve who is part of the group.
She told Mark Foster why the group is so important.
Stageworks Performance Community Theatre, said: "We are an inclusive, fun, friendly theatre group based in Barwell and Earl Shilton, Leicestershire.
"Our key aim of 'making all areas of theatre accessible to all' means that we have a diverse membership including those with physical and mental health conditions, neuro-diversities alongside mainstream members.
"Our group calls itself a family and our family is so proud to be recognised with a nomination and would be over the moon if you can vote for us!"
