The 18-year-old won the Wimbledon Boys’ title last year.
Loughborough tennis player Henry Searle will compete in the singles main draw at this summer’s Wimbledon after being granted a wildcard entry by the All England Club.
The teenager is part of the Loughborough University National Tennis Academy (LUNTA).
He will enter the first round of the Championships which will be played from Monday 1 July - Sunday 14 July.
Nathan Miller, Academy Manager at LUNTA, said: “We’re all thrilled that Henry has been selected to compete in the main Men’s draw at Wimbledon. Appearing at any major Grand Slam is a brilliant achievement but I’m sure this will feel that extra bit special after last year’s success.
“I’ve no doubt that Henry and his wider support team will be looking forward to the challenge ahead and they’ll do themselves and Loughborough University proud.”
The 18-year-old won the Wimbledon Boys’ title last year.
Fellow LUNTA player Mika Stojsavljevic has also been selected as a wildcard entry for the Women’s qualifying at Wimbledon.
Mika’s campaign will begin on Monday 24 June and three straight wins would see her progress to the main Women’s singles draw.
