Firefighters were called at 9pm on Saturday to Bosworth Marina.
Investigations are underway after a fire at a popular cafe at Bosworth Marina in Market Bosworth.
Firefighters were called just after 9pm following reports of smoke and flames coming from the main building at Cafe 1804.
Crews said the fire was "well developed" when they arrived and had caused extensive damage to the premises which is on the first floor. They said early detection and intervention prevented even more severe damage to the building.
The owners of the business posted on its facebook page to say:
"Cafe 1804 will be closed until further notice. We are devastated to inform people there was a serious fire there last night. The investigation is still pending, however, we will get back to business as soon as we possibly can. Thanks for peoples concern and we will keep you all updated with on going information and progress."
