A man is in hospital after a stabbing in Loughborough last night.
Police received a call at 7.07pm (Thursday 27 March) following a report a man had been stabbed in Ashby Square.
The man, in his forties, is in a critical condition.
As part of police enquiries, a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Tom Allard from the force’s Complex Investigation Team, said: “Our investigation remains at an early stage as we continue to carry out our enquiries surrounding this incident.
“I would encourage anyone who may have witnessed anything connected to this incident or any information about what happened to please make contact with us as soon as possible.”
