A man has suffered serious injuries following a single-car collision just off the A46 near Ratcliffe on the Wreake.
Leicestershire police say they were called at 7.40am on Sunday 6th September following a report of a purple Ford Fiesta car being found in a ditch in the area of Broome Lane, near to the A46.
A man in his 50s was found to be inside the vehicle. He was taken to hospital by ambulance where police say he currently remains with serious injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and detectives are appealing for anyone with any information in relation to the incident to make contact.
Detective Sergeant Ed Des-Chanelle said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances leading up to this collision.
“If you have been in the area this morning, please think back to any information you might have regarding the vehicle before or after the incident. If you have any information in relation to the collision itself, you should also make contact.
“We are also urging anyone with any dashcam footage from the area to check this and get in touch with us.
